Any ideas on how to make these effectively? Air dry clay, greenstuff (or its cheaper equivalent)? I found some recipes for cheap airdry clays, think they might cut it?

what about those plaster cloth strips for casts.... little strips of that (wet) rolled and bundled and stacked....
