still shows the codex creep bias overall. GK in top bracket for battle points. GK in top bracket for W/L. and without seeing anything is it far fetched to suppose that Airbrush Access (and the GK presented using that tech) is a factor??

I've really noticed a resurgence of Deathwing as of late. And I agree, it seems like orks are never gonna be out of the mix, regardless of codex age. What is it that makes the regular marines so unpopular? I could imagine there would be a fair number of fluffy or competitive builds in the book, or am I mistaken?

Deathwing where boosted largely by the FAQ a few (<6 ?) months back. Space marines I think are just a common enough book, and can be done in several different solid ways, people just continuing to play their armies.

I think Vanillas are just so middle of the road that it is more difficult to create a punchy list, since most other books will beat you at something it creates too many 'bad' matchups, and good opponents usually will exploit their advantages. and you can do most things better with SW or GK while keeping the 3+ and razors
